What a clever repurposing of an unloved piece of furniture! Personally, I'm all for whatever keeps them useful and out of the landfill. I loved all four restyled photos but agree with you that it would rock in a nursery as a changing station plus storage. It could grow and change with the child's needs all the way to becoming a bar in a first apartment and maybe one day become a changing table again! That's the beauty of buying old and used instead of brand new and disposable.

Do you always sand your furniture before painting?

No...I'd keep it as is. I would never paint over that beautiful wood. I would use it for exactly what it is designed for.

Another perfectly good piece of furniture succumbed to the makeover queens. Daubing everything in the limited pallet they use (. Beige. Grey and black ) Hideous, Looks cheap. Nasty and tacky

Great transformations!! The bowl caught my eye and I'd like to add an FYI. Your bowl looks like s Nambe' piece. Like much of Wilton Armetale, Nambe' pieces are made of an alloy of about 8 ingredients. What is wonderful about this alloy is the greatly extended retention time of heat or cold. The item can go into an oven or freezer and the retain heat ( or cold) they take on stays for hours in normal temperatures. I've served a hot chili/cream cheese dip in Nambe' at a party which stayed hot to warm for 5-6 hours. I've served chilled fruit on a platter as patio picnic food. The platter was cold long after the fruit was consumed. Just sponge wash and rinse - no scrubbing. Great stuff.

My fav was the DIY'd huge canvas. It turned out so well. Great job.

Can I add a dark wax over Beyond Paint? I used a mix of Linen and Off White but the dining table still needs some dimension
